Rapid Blemish Reliever: Make Your Own!

rapid blemish relieverThe secret is out: skin blemishes are not just one common, unpleasant mark of puberty, as our teachers and parents tell us. The dispiriting fact is that they appear at any age, and at least desirable times.

An unannounced, and unsightly eruption on your face does come suddenly, but there is a clear pattern for sure: Just before the wedding ceremony. Or a family reunion. Or the big presentation of your idea in front of your peers.

I know this because I’ve attracted my fair share of such encounters.

So, the need to respond to the challenge with “big guns”, combined with the willingness to experiment a little, generated a handy, 100% natural and very simple answer to many skin-related emergencies. I shared it with a couple of family members and friends and one of them named it a “rapid blemish reliever”.

We can say that no blemish is the same,  but this formula deals fast with these pesky little things…and sometimes only one day is needed to see the results!

Why the roll-on bottle?

Because it provides a targeted action, exactly where it’s most needed.

What’s inside the bottle (mixture)?

Propolis: A sticky and totally magical substance that comes from bees. Propolis has mind-bogglingly protective, antibiotic and anti-fungal properties for the skin and the mucous membranes. It’s also my #1 choice for any temporary or long-term sinus problem.

Tea tree essential oil: A great anti-infection oil, with anti-fungal, antibacterial, and antiviral properties. It’s frequently used for skin problems, being more effective and less irritating than some of the over-the-counter products (than benzoyl peroxide).

Lavender essential oil: Lavender isn’t only loved and celebrated for its fabulous fragrance. It also has antiseptic, antibacterial, properties that make it valuable in treating skin problems from burns to blemishes. It combines well with tea tree oil.

Mint essential oil: Mint is found in many skin care product due to its strong healing and anti-inflammatory properties.

Vodka: Pure vodka is the base for this powerful concoction.

How to make this product?

You’ll need an 0.67 oz (20 ml) empty roll on bottle (1). If this something that you are reusing, make sure the bottle is completely clean and dry.

anti acne and blemish ingredients

Mix the following ingredients (2) in a small glass (3) or directly in the opened roll-on bottle (with the roll-on applicator removed):

  • 1 tablespoon vodka (0.5 oz, or 15 ml)
  • 20 drops quality propolis tincture (this is a solution of propolis in alcohol. 20-30% strength is needed.)
  • 15 drops tea tree essential oil
  • 7 drops lavender essential oil
  • 3 drops mint essential oil

Since the opening on your roll-on bottle is rather small, you’ll need to pour in your mixture (or vodka if mixing directly) using a funnel (4) to avoid any accidents. When done, put the roll-on applicator back as well as the cap. Your blemish reliever is now ready to use or store into your purse or pocket!

A few more tips: The formula is strong, and you may feel that it burns a little at first. Also, it will have a strong scent due to the presence of essential oils. Bear in mind that both sensations will disappear soon and you’ll feel a pleasant freshness instead.

Another great thing (and this applies to all homemade formulas) is that you can adjust all measures to your liking and preferences. :)

By all means, avoid use before sun exposure.

Other than that, shake it well before you apply and reapply it anytime, anyplace for fast anti-blemish action.

I’m sure you’ll love it!

Cheers,

Lilly
